Solon Man Charged With Felony Domestic Violence
The information in this report is from the Solon Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction
Solon police received a call Sunday night from a SOM Center Road woman who said her husband hit her, and then the phone went dead, police said.
Police arrested her 48-year-old husband after he attempted to leave the home before police arrived, according to reports. Police charged the man with a domestic violence felony because he has two prior domestic violence convictions.
According to police, the 43-year-old victim was in bed when the husband also got into the bed and made a request that she denied. He pushed her from the bed, sending her headfirst into a bookcase, which busted her lip open, police said. Two children were home at the time, a 15- and 9-year-old.
The husband was taken to jail and held without bond, police said.
