Solon Center for the Arts Summer Stock Theater returns to the main stage this week with Frank Loesser and Abe Burrows’ Pulitzer Prize winning musical ;How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.'
This production, performed by local teens and young adults, will be performed in the SCA Theater at 7:30 p.m. this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. A Sunday performance is scheduled for 2 p.m.
A satire of big business in the early 1960’s, “How to Succeed Without Really Trying” follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a handy instructional book entitled “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive. This production melds wit, comedy, and romance together a jazzy musical score and high spirited dancing. Power, ambition, love, greed... it’s just another day at the office.
Kristina J. Ferencie directs the cast of “How to Succeed” together with Musical Director Gregory Donnellan and Choreographer Christine A. Madden. Members of this highly talented cast include Allison Cartellone, Brett Castro, Chris Chehade, Sophia Dennis, Sarah Falck, Julian Foglietti, Chazz Hawks, Daniel Henderson, Ryan Ho, Kristin Kapusta, Rachel Kapusta, Patrick Koholic, Natalie Kreft, Audrey Leach, Taylor Parker, Justin Roth, Melanie Secre, Erin Skaggs, Danielle Stanek, Daniel Telford, Joshua Trattner, Hannah Tucker and Natalie Wiser.
