Retired Solon High Administrator Filling In As Interim Assistant Principal
Solon Schools has brought former administrator Dennis Vauter out of retirement to serve as interim assistant principal at Solon High School.
The passing of Parkside Elementary Principal Martha Keeney has led to some shuffling of administrators.
Solon High School Assistant Principal Erica Kosiorek has moved over to Parkside as interim principal. To fill in at the high school, school officials brought back Dennis Vauter, a long-time administrator with the schools who had been retired.
Vauter will be brought on for the remainder of the school year.
"Dennis was kind enough to come back and complete the school year," said Superintendent Joe Regano.
Regano said that Kosiorek has been "thriving" at Parkside as interim principal. Her position at that school will be re-assessedat the end of the school year.
"She seems to be thriving," he said. "I’m certain she is doing a great job there and will continue to do so."
Keeney, a well-liked principal at Parkside, passed away in December after a battle with cancer.
