Regency Windows Bought Out by Window Nation
The remaining assets of the closed Twinsburg-based business have been bought out by one of its competitors
The remaining assets of the recently-closed Regency Windows Company, based in Twinsburg, have been purchased by Window Nation, according to a press release.
Regency Windows left customers hanging when it abruptly closed without warning in January and defaulted on its loans.
As Window Nation did not perform any of Regency Windows' installations or profit from any of those jobs, Window Nation itself isn't able to offer warranty service on Regency purchases, the press release said. However, Window Nation has set up a new web site, www.RegencyWindow.com, to help Regency buyers and offer guidance on resources.
"We want to help Regency buyers understand their options," Window Nation President Harley Magden said in the release. "We want people to know that just because Regency Windows closed their doors, that doesn't mean existing customers have no warranty. In fact, the majority of the windows that Regency sold are still covered by the manufacturers' warranties."
RegencyWindow.com lists phone numbers for all manufacturers that Regency Windows used. The web site provides information on what to do and how to contact manufacturers if a service issue exists now or develops in the future on a product purchased from Regency.
Regency Windows consumers who placed a down payment for products they never received should contact the Ohio Attorney General's office at www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov or 800-282-0515 with their complaint.
For Regency buyers looking to purchase additional windows to complete their project, Window Nation has negotiated pricing with Regency Windows' manufacturers to help finish the job.
