Man Passes Out in Giant Eagle Lot: Blotter Roundup

The following information is from the Solon Police Department

Solon Police arrested a Mayfield Heights man on Nov. 7 for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.

Officers found 39-year-old Ki Woong Song asleep at 1:10 a.m. in the Giant Eagle parking lot. Lt. Bruce Felton said Song was slumped over the steering wheel while the engine was running.

"The driver's window was completely down, and it was cold out," Felton said. "He was pretty difficult to get awake."

Song took a blood-alcohol level test and blew a .174, more than twice the legal limit.

Software helps family find iPhone: A Solon man came to the police station with his daughter to report that her iPhone 4S had been stolen. The man had already tracked the phone's location by using Apple's "Find My iPhone" technology.

When he and his daughter went to the Independence Court home that came up on the software, a 15-year-old boy denied having the phone.

Police then went to the Independence Court residence. The boy confessed to the theft, returned the phone and was turned over to a juvenile officer.

Tamper stolen from construction site: Pinnacle Construction of Willoughby reported the theft of a power tamper this week at a Bainbridge Road construction site.

Workers believe the incident occurred between 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 12 at Cleveland Clinic's Family Health Center, where Pinnacle is installing a new parking lot.

The tamper is valued at $2,200.
