Drunken Mania: 17 Drivers Charged With Drunken Driving in Solon Last Weekend

Between the sobriety checkpoint and regular patrols, Solon Police rounded up a high number of drunken drivers last weekend. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

From Aug. 24 through Aug. 26, Solon Police arrested and charged 17 people with driving drunk.

The drivers were caught all over the city, from SOM Center Road and Aurora Road to the intersection of Richmond and Cannon roads, where the police set up a sobriety checkpoint on Aug. 25.

Police reports show that seven of the 17 drivers charged were picked up at the checkpoint.
