A 48-year-old Cleveland man is lucky he was wearing his seatbelt.
Just after midnight on June 28, Solon Police said the man lost control of his truck and smashed it into a tree near PNC Bank on Aurora Road.
A police officer filling out paperwork in his cruiser watched the speeding truck lose control and slam into a tree, sending a puff of smoke and piece of the truck fly into the air, according to the police report.
The truck was nearly split in half by the impact into the tree and had flipped over. The man was found hanging by his seatbelt in the truck. He suffered only minor injuries, but was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment, according to police.
