Dog Left For Dead Finds Home In Solon

Forrest, a mastiff that was shot twice and left for dead in Cleveland Heights, has found a home in Solon, reports WEWS Channel 5.

Forrest's plight became a big story last year after his owner tied him up in a park in Cleveland Heights, shot him twice and left him to die. The dog survived the night and was found by a walker the next day, according to Cleveland Heights Patch.

Forrest, given that name by his rescuers with Public Animal Welfare Society of Ohio (PAWS), has been nursed back to health and is now living on 10 acres of land in Solon, reports the news channel.

Forrest's previous owner, Raymone Clements, of East Cleveland, was arrested in December and charged with animal cruelty and discharging a firearm within city limits. He was later charged with felony having weapons under disability, because Clements is a convicted felon.
