Cleveland Cinemas No Longer Running Solon Movie Theater

Solon Cinemas will now be operated by Digiplex, which plans to install some 3D theaters in the 16-screen facility on Enterprise Drive.

With changes on the horizon for Solon's movie theater, Cleveland Cinemas is no longer involved with the theater on Enterprise Parkway, the company announced on Feb. 1.

Solon Cinemas has 16 screens and has recently converted to digital screening, and will soon have 3D theaters.

The beginning of February marks the beginning of Digiplex's lease to operate the movie theater on behalf of owner Davis Development Group.

Digiplex plans to upgrade the theater by installing five 3D-compatible screens, according to a press release from Digiplex. The companies involved provided no timetable for when the 3D theaters are going to be ready.

Cleveland Cinemas, which operates a number of area movie theaters, said on Facebook today that they no longer operate Solon Cinemas and asked moviegoers to come over to their Chagrin theater.
