Cash Mob Planned For Solon Square Shopping Center
Solon's first Cash Mob is set for 5 p.m. June 20 at the Solon Square Shopping Center.
Want to support a local business?
There's no better way than to attend Solon's first-ever Cash Mob on June 20 at Solon Square Shopping Center on Aurora Road.
A cash mob is an event to encourage people to shop local businesses by having a crowd descend on a specific business and have each person spend at least $20. They are usually organized through social media and, of course, good old fashioned word of mouth.
Solon's cash mob was devised by the Solon Chamber of Commerce's social media and connections committee.
The plan is to meet up at 5 p.m. June 20 at Solon Square shopping center in front of the former Stein Mart location. The address is 33321 Aurora Road in Solon.
At that time, organizers will announce which business they will mob.
We'll have more information on the cash mob as it gets closer!
Want to help spread the word? Here's what you can do:
- Follow Cash Mob Solon on Twitter!
- Log on to your Facebook and Twitter accounts and share this story with your online friends!
- Head over to World Synergy's Facebook and Twitter to help them spread the word. They are helping to organize the cash mob, so support them by "Liking" and "following" their social media efforts! Do the same for the Solon Chamber of Commerce!

Good Question. There is only a couple of businesses that are not franchises, which is where the cash mob usually targets.

Hi Jack: I hope to talk to the organizers before the event and get more details. Hi Mary: Not sure where the Chamber got the idea, but I know that cash mobs are increasingly popular in Cleveland and around the country.

Suzi, the business is aware. The idea came from a member of the SMAC committee ( social media and connections ).
