Burglar Steals Thousands Of Coins From Solon Home

Detectives are investigating a burglary in which thousands of coins were stolen from a home in Signature of Solon, according to Solon Police.

A 47-year-old resident of Bellerive Drive reported on Feb. 1 that he had about $7,000 worth of coins taken from his home, along with a few bottles of Grey Goose Vodka worth about $750, according to a police report.

The man said that the coins were money he had collected from tips at work.

He told police that he's had lots of work done on his home lately, and that someone on one of the work crews may have taken the coins.

Detectives are investigating.
