Boys Soccer Season Ends With Loss To Aurora

The boys played their hearts out for 80 minutes, but unfortunately it was not enough. Their season record ended at 10-4-4.

Editor's Note: Thanks to soccer parent Steve Rothenberg for providing this article and photos, and all of our boys soccer coverage this season.

The Solon boys’ soccer team ended their season as a district semi-finalist with a tough loss at Aurora.

Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding efforts all season. You have great memories to take with you: a 10 win season, game wins over Chagrin, Strongsville, Westlake, and a tie with Twinsburg who was ranked in the top 7 in the state at the time.

Also, congratulations to the seniors:  Jacob Altstadt , Orlando Cumberlander , Leo Held, Josh Kammer, Ardi Khalafi, Foster King, Alec Krienen, Michael Luo, Aditya Nair, Michael Rothenberg, Matt Weyenberg, Brian Wise, and team manager Alex Silk.

You led by example both on and off the field, you represented the Solon soccer program with character, integrity, courage, and sportsmanship. You cheered for each other, you picked each other up, and you built a strong bond as a team. You excelled in the classroom, and will succeed in life.

Everyone is so proud to call you Comets.
