Accused Drunken Driver With Mangled Car: 'I Hit A Racoon'
The information in this report is from the Solon Police. An arrest does not mean a conviction.
It must have been a massive racoon.
On Oct. 6 at about 1:30 a.m., police received a call that someone was driving the wrong way on westbound U.S. 422.
A 24-year-old woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving after she was seen driving a mangled car the wrong way on the grassy median between U.S. 422., according to Solon Police.
She told police that she damaged her car -- which was missing a rearview mirror, had flat tires and had extensive damage along the driver's side -- when she hit a racoon, according to the police report.
A racoon was never found along the road, and police gave the woman a sobriety test. She registered a .148 blood-alcohol level, more than the legal limit of .08.
Arrested and charged with drunken driving was Mikaela Johnson, 24, of Hiram.

Where did the writer go to school? Since when is .148 more than twice .08 ? Buy a calculator.

I went to good schools, but that was a stupid mistake. It's been fixed! Thanks for pointing it out!
