An 86-year-old man was cited for illegally carrying a concealed weapon after police got a tip that he was going to have an armed confrontation with another man over a business feud.
Police went to a home on Country View Lane after someone called March 12 to say that a homeowner and a business partner were having an argument over selecting a realtor for the home, and that both men were armed and heading to the home for a confrontation.
The police arrived to find the homeowner, an 86-year-old man, standing outside the home with a cane.
The old man also wore a loaded and holstered .38-caliber revolver on his hip.
The man did not have a permit to carry the gun so he was issued a summons to Bedford Court for carrying the weapon illegally.
The other man said he had no intention of going to the home and hurt the man.
