Solon Center for the Arts is accepting applications for a Part Time Visual Arts Instructor.

Qualified Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art or an Art Education degree from an accredited institution. Graduate experience a plus. Interested applicants must have at least two years of teaching experience. This position involves daytime and evening hours beginning in the summer of 2012. Hourly rate is based upon experience and qualifications.

Candidates for the art instructor position will work closely with the Art Department Coordinator and will be able to work with students of all ages and skill levels with a focus on early childhood education (preschool through Grade 2). The qualified applicant will be responsible for lesson creation, planning, preparation and classroom instruction. Applicants must be professional and display leadership qualities in a classroom setting. Candidates must also possess excellent problem solving, organizational and interpersonal communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
