Solon Center for the Arts is accepting applications for a Part Time Violin/Viola Instructor.

Qualified applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Strings Performance, Strings Pedagogy, Suzuki Strings or a related degree with a Violin/Viola concentration from an accredited institution, Master’s Degree a plus and Suzuki certification preferred. Eligible candidates must have at least two years of teaching experience. This position involves possible daytime and evening hours and will begin in June of 2012. The hourly rate is based upon experience and qualifications.

Candidates for the Violin/Viola Instructor position will interact closely with the Music Department Coordinator and will be able to work with students of all ages and skill levels. Applicants must be professional and display leadership qualities in a classroom setting. Excellent problem solving skills, time management, organizational skills and interpersonal communications are required. Applicants must be able to work in a team environment.
