Congregation Kol Chadash will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Lag B'omer (33rd day of the Counting of the Omer) with its annual Lag b’Omer Picnic, Shabbat Service, and Bonfire on Friday May 4th at 6 pm at the Bonfire Pit in front of the Church of the Resurrection located at 32991 Cannon Road in Solon. This event is free and open to the community. Bring blankets, sports equipment, lawn chairs and a picnic dinner and come ready to enjoy lots of singing led by Kol Chadash's cantorial Soloist Debbie Rogers. Lag B'omer is traditionally celebrated with picnics and bonfires and athletic events and is a joyous holiday with the bonfires symbolizing the light of the Torah.
